This is the control center for those contributing to and supporting our syndicated news feed,
The ExReps NewsWhat is the ExReps News ?Quite simply it is a newsletter that we use to get out the information about the news and happenings in the Tech Rep and ExRep communities. Typical contents are articles about individual ExReps, who joins the ExRep community, and sadly those who have gone to join the ranks of the Silent Keys.
It is pretty much what the community wants to make of it, if you know of something that will be of general interest to a section of our community or the whole community you are invited to submit it for publication.
What is a News Feed?At its most basic level a News Feed is simply another newsletter format, however it goes beyond that in functionality. In our new digital age it is possible for an individual or small group to create a system of news distribution that is national or even international in scope.
Readers can subscribe to the news feed
using a feed reader, or
you can subscribe via email and receive real-time updates on the latest breaking events as they are reported.
Newsfeeds pretty much put news distribution in the hands of those closest to the news.
What does syndication mean?Syndicating a news feed means that we make it generally available, to both individuals and groups by submitting it to various News Aggregation sites to publicize its availablity.
Individuals can find the ExReps news this way, and groups or other organizations can include our News Feed in their Website as content.
What is this discussion area all about ?At ExReps we operate the machinery that makes all this work, and as we become aware of News items we include them in the ExReps News. This discussion area is where those who wish to become reporters for the ExReps news can talk to others with the same interests and share ideas about how to identify news items for publication, format their articles and other elements of participating in a special purpose news organization.
Feel free to click on new topic and join in on the discussions!
